Non-profit business loans More women with a family life are combining their (often very busy) family lives with a career. Dividing the work connected with having a family between men and women still often results in the traditional situation of the woman caring for the children during the day and providing care while struggling to combine this with a part time job on the side for a few hours a week. This type of situation often causes friction and a stressful situation where women feel that they simply do not have enough time to actually spend enough time on their family or their jobs. Being your own boss and owning your own business is something that provides people with the solution of the ever continuing struggle of juggling their job and their family time. Starting a business has become easier over the years. Banks are willing to take risks on business loans with innovative business ideas. This means that, as long as people are able to provide a solid business plan, they can usually find a bank that is willing to give out a business loan as long as the plan is solid and shows that the person presenting the plan has the basic necessary knowledge to start up a successful business. Having your own business means being able to work in your own time and being able to delegate any tasks that you cannot (or do not want to) perform yourself. If a business turns out to be successful people can be hired to work for the owner and even thought creating your own business (especially in the first two years) means a lot of hard work, it can be a great opportunity for those women who want to work and combine their career with a family life. There are non-profit organizations that help women set up their own business. These organizations provide women not only with basic knowledge but also with low interest business loans. Women can apply for assistance to help write a solid business plan after which the plan is checked by a professional and passed on back to the organization after which the possibilities of issuing the applicant with a business loan can be considered. This option will be advertised more widely and almost every state now has its own non-profit agency to help women out. These organizations, specifically started to help women back onto the career market, have noticed an increase in the number of women actually making use of the option to start their own business. Thirty percent of all businesses started by women survive past the first two years of their existence successfully. The first two years of a business are considered to be crucial for its success. |
